Leicester Print Workshop 05 Feb 07

I enjoyed the Lessedra Minprint Exhibition so much that when I saw that the Leicester Print Workshop was holding a "Small Print|Big Impression" exhibition I thought I'd give it a go. You can enter up to 4 prints. I had five so I had to ditch one of them. Which one would you drop? At the time of writing I don't know if any have been accepted. So fingers crossed. You can find out more about the Leicester Print Workshop at www.leicesterprintworkshop.com.

Orchids

Estuary

This was from photo taken when we were on holiday in Northern Spain. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the place.

Faces

You can see some other like this on the site.

Pears.

I love pears. Eating or drawing them.

I've no idea what to call this one. This is engraved with some aquatint. I've really got to like engraving. I think the line is more interesting than an etched line. It is very satisfying when the burin is really sharp and a thin coil of copper curls up as you zoom around the plate. It's just begging you to make spirals and arcs.

Unfortunately this was the one I had to leave out. It was a toss up between Faces and this one.
